Orhan Pumuk was sent to a secular secondary school, the American Roberts College. After that, He went to Istanbul Technical University to pursue architecture, but he never finished the degree. He later attended The University of Istanbul and got a degree in journalism. After his fame, he had received and honorary doctorate from Tilburg University.
