The New Life is based on another book, one that Pamuk gave the same name to as well. An engineering student reads this book, and he feels that his life has changed due to this reading. Many others, who also have read the book, and soon the book has a cult following. People who have not read this book set out on a quest to destroy the book. No much is told about the book and the followers, and it is up to the readers to imagine these aspects of the book

White Castle is a story of identity theft. An Italian slave and his master, known to him only as Hoja, ‘Master’ in Turkish, both of whom are scholars are told to find the secrets of the world. While they do have many discoveries, they are have a burning question in the back of their minds. In search of the answer to this question, they share their most intimate secrets with each other. It is only a matter of time before they know enough about each other to trade places in life

Snow

Snow

Snow, or Kar in Turkish, is a told by a omniscient narrator, but is mostly told from the third-person point of view of Ka, the main character, from account in his journals. Ka is a poet that returns to Turkey from exile after 12 years. A heavy snow cuts him off from the town, and so in the time that he is trapped, he talks to many different types of people, from communists to Secret Service Agents. This novel focuses on discussing the beliefs of the 20th century.

My Name Is Red

My Name Is Red

My Name is Red is a book that is told from the prospective of a different person every chapter. The book takes place in the Ottoman Empire in the late 16 Century, mainly talking about a group of miniaturists, one of whom was murdered in the first chapter.

Museum of Innocence

Museum of Innocence

Museum of Innocence is a romantic novel. A wealthy business man, Kemal, is engaged to a pretty girl named Sibel, but one day, he meets another woman, Füsun. Füsun confesses his love for him, but he, even though he feels the same way, marries Sibel. Kemal realizes how much he misses Füsun, and so he leaves Sibel to see her. FüsunGot married in the time he was gone, but he continues to see her everyday, taking comfort in items related to her, until they finally get married.

The Black Book

The Black Book

The Black Book focuses on a lawyer, named Galip and his wife Ruya, who is kidnapped in the book. Galip searches for her, and his search takes him to his wife's half brother Celal, who is a columnist. At the end of his search, he finds Ruya shot inside of a store. The killer's identity is never told.
